Privacy
Llamaload measures your internet connection to estimate Steam download times. Here is exactly what happens with your data in v1.
The speed test
- The connection test runs in your browser.
- Llamaload does not store your speed-test result in v1.
- Measurement requests are sent to Cloudflare.
- Cloudflare's speed-test package states completed results are collected for aggregated connection-quality insights. llamaload does not receive or store those results.
- If you prefer a number you trust, you can enter a manual speed instead. That value stays in your browser session only and is never sent to the llamaload server.
Steam game data
- Steam search and depot-size requests are made by the llamaload server, not your browser. The Steam API key is never shared with you.
- Game sizes are cached on the llamaload server so repeated selections do not repeat expensive depot lookups.
- Only the AppID, name, and resolved Windows download size are handled by the server. No Steam login, library, or ownership information is used.
Your selections
- Selected games and manual fallback values (manual speed or manual size) are stored only in your browser's session storage.
- They persist until you clear them or close the browser session. They are never written to the shared server cache.
What we don't do
- No advertising in v1.
- No cross-site tracking in v1.
- No accounts, profiles, or persistent identifiers in v1.
This page describes v1 only. Material changes will be published here.
